Nicole Carner has been with us for about a year and in that time folks have become used to seeing her driving the forklift and towing planes. She is one of our oldest cadets with a valid drivers license so when she first joined I asked her to get cleared with the airport so I could teach her to drive our vehicles and tow airplanes and in the last year she has done just that and more. She has become the big sister to the cadets. She is a role model. She is smart. She is fearless. She is humble.
Nicole’s dream is to fly jets for the Navy and this coming fall she will start on that road. ROTC down in San Diego. Four years of college. I promised her a Mustang ride before she had to leave us and yesterday she got her flight.
We are going to miss her.
