The Southern California Wing, one of the largest units in the CAF in membership, aircraft and capabilities, was formed in 1981.
There are 11 aircraft on display, most of them participate in air shows throughout the Western states.
The aircraft are based in two large hangars (a museum hangar including artifact displays, aircraft, library, gift shop and a restoration/maintenance hangar). Docents provide public tours so everyone can get not only the background history of what they are seeing , but being up and close to the displays including the historic WWII aircraft.
The wing’s Aviation Museum is unique with hundreds of artifacts of aviation history.
